Terms of Service

ContractorIQ provides tools that help contractors organize project communication, documentation, and jobsite updates.

SMS Messaging Terms

By opting in to SMS communications from Your Company, you agree to receive operational messages related to your involvement in construction projects. These messages may include updates, scheduling, task coordination, and other job-related communications.

Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. For assistance, reply HELP.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase.

Use of the service constitutes acceptance of these terms.

SMS Opt-In Process

Users opt in through multiple compliant methods depending on how they engage with the contractor:

  1. Direct SMS Opt-In (Primary Method):
Users may text the contractor’s phone number first. Upon receiving their message, the system responds with a consent request asking them to reply “YES” to receive job-related SMS communications. Messaging is only enabled after the user explicitly replies “YES.”

  2. Contractor-Initiated Invitation:
When a contractor adds an employee, subcontractor, or client to a project, the system sends an initial SMS notifying the user that they will receive job-related messages and asks them to reply “YES” to opt in.

  3. Client Contract Consent (Supplemental):
In some cases, clients may provide consent through a service agreement. These users still receive an SMS asking them to confirm by replying “YES” before messaging continues.

All opt-in methods require an explicit SMS confirmation (reply “YES”) before sending ongoing messages.

SMS Opt-Out Process

Users can opt out at any time by replying with standard keywords such as STOP, END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or STOPALL.

Upon receiving an opt-out request, the system immediately updates the user’s status and blocks all future outbound messages.

No further messages are sent unless the user re-subscribes by replying YES, START, or UNSTOP.

SMS Help Process

Users can reply HELP at any time to receive assistance.

The system responds with:

“{{CompanyName}} job messaging via ContractorIQ. Reply STOP to opt out. Contact {{support phone/email}} for help.”
